The New Building |
Our HistoryLadybirds Day Nursery was established in 1995 and enjoys a well deserved
reputation for providing the very best start in life for children in the
Wisbech area. Expansion since 1995 has taken place in several stages. In 2005
the adjacent building was incorporated into the Nursery and our registration
increased. The two buildings were linked a short time later. Development is continuous. The pre-school children occupy the new building. On 2 storeys this
facility incorporates a literacy and ICT room on the upper floor which is
used by all age groups. The toddlers now have a larger room and our babies have
a large room devoted entirely to their care. The original nursery building,
which is home for the babies and toddlers, has always been fully air-conditioned
and in 2010 this was added to the pre-school room. This helps both comfort
and concentration. Also in 2010 awnings were added to both playgrounds to
provide outside play space in all weathers, and shade in the summer. The
pre-school play space was also extended. Our
It is now generally accepted that regular attendance at a good Nursery
is of real benefit to all children. “Early Years” education, as
opposed to child-minding, is increasingly seen as vital. It is our intention
to ensure that every child attending Ladybirds gets the very best start
possible. |
